Sunday Sermon Study Guide
The Necessity of a Guide – We need more than a map to explore spiritual truth; we need the Spirit to illuminate and guide us.
Something to think about: Are you trying to navigate life with only information, or are you leaning on the Spirit to show you what you can’t see on your own?
Checklist Christianity – Reading the Bible without the Spirit’s help can lead to shallow understanding and missed transformation.
Something to think about: Are you inviting the Holy Spirit into your daily time in God’s Word, or just checking it off a list?
Keeping in Step with Our Guide – The Spirit gives gifts and cultivates fruit in believers for the good of others and the glory of God.
Something to think about: Are you more focused on your spiritual gifts or your spiritual fruit? What might that say about where your heart is?
Gazing on His Glory – The Spirit’s ultimate goal is to lead us into deeper relationship with Jesus and Christlikeness.
Something to think about: What motivates your spiritual growth—duty, guilt, or a desire to know Jesus more intimately?
The Holy Spirit’s Role – He is a personal, present, and empowering Guide who walks every step of the way with us.
Something to think about: How can you become more aware of and responsive to the Spirit’s presence in your daily life?
Prayer Points
Invite the Spirit Daily – Ask God to make you aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence and leading each day.
Move from Information to Revelation – Pray that your time in God’s Word would be Spirit-led, not self-led.
Live in Community – Ask God to help you use your spiritual gifts to bless others and build up the Church.
Grow in Character – Pray that the Spirit would develop deep, lasting fruit in your life, especially in love and patience.
Fix Your Eyes on Jesus – Ask God to continually draw your heart toward knowing and becoming more like Christ.
