Taking it Home
- How was your summer? Was there a special God moment you would like to share about?
Digging Deeper:
- Read Acts 2:42-47. The believers were unified in heart and mind and prioritized the needs of others. What purpose did their possessions play in loving others? Read Matthew 6:19-21, 1 Timothy 6:6-10, 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Proverbs 11:24 and Proverbs 13:22. What do the Scriptures say about giving to the needy? What would a balanced biblical view be towards money? What responsibilities go along with being wealthy?
- Read Proverbs 27:17, Romans 12:13, Galatians 6:1-2, Hebrews 13:16 and 1 Peter 4:10. How would you define what true fellowship is and isn’t? What should we expect to find when we aren’t in true fellowship?
- Re-read Acts 2:42-47 and discuss the things that God was doing through his church. If we conducted ourselves like the early church should we expect similar results? According to John 14:12-14, Galatians 5:16 and Philippians 4:11-13 what are we by the Spirit capable of? What is at stake if we don’t live like the Church?
