Getting to Know You:
  1. How do you discuss the topic of evolution with unbelievers?  What objections to creationism are easiest and hardest to respond to?

Digging Deeper:
  1. Compare the first three words in Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, and 26 with John 1:1-5, John 1:18, and Hebrews 1:1-3.  In Greek philosophy, the Word (logos) was an impersonal principle governing the universe, from which mankind derived their sense of morality and law.  Knowing this, what did John mean when he called Jesus the Word?  What is the significance of Jesus being personal and relational?
  2. Read Psalm 19:1-6, Psalm 139:13-14, and Jeremiah 10:12.  The scientific evidence clearly points to intelligent design and the existence of God.  Why then are Christians frequently accused of denying science?  What is the foundation of these claims?
  3. Read Romans 2:12-29, 1 Timothy 1:5, 1 Timothy 4:1-2 and 1 Peter 3:15-16. How does our conscience reveal the moral law of God?  Compare how the conscience and the Holy Spirit work in tandem in a believer’s life.  What are the implications if we suppress both?
