- Read Acts 8:26, 29, 40 and Hebrews 11:8-16. Consider these passages and others that discuss living a life of faith. How do these passages reflect the difficulties in knowing whether you are hearing the voice of God or not? In what ways could their actions look like foolishness?
- Read Acts 8:26-35, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 61:1, Isaiah 52:13 through Isaiah 53:12, Isaiah 55:6-7, and Isaiah 61:10. How might Philip have presented the Gospel of Jesus through the book of Isaiah? Considering that this was written 700 years before Christ came, how can we incorporate this passage in evangelism today?
